BACKGROUND:
After the October 2006 reunion, several of us decided to have a reunion
for the football players that played under Coach Edwards during 1954-1956. Marty
Karasick organized the get together which was held on June 18, 2007 in
Brooklyn about a mile from the school. Some came from as far away
as Illinois and Tampa. Thirteen alumni from 54-56 and two
wives attended. We spent the afternoon reminiscing and later visited
the school for an update.
Jack Fischer decided that Florida presented another opportunity to get together again and organized the January reunion. Coaches Edwards and Grant visit Florida every year. This was an opportunity for Florida folks to get together.
Once again, nostalgia prevailed as we told war stories and look forward to meeting again in 2009.
