Jack Fischer, ’56, Organizer

On Friday March 2, 2007 there was a GETOGETHER in Delray Beach FL.  The James Madison High School CLASS of 1956 had 53 grads and their 9 guests at ELLIE's 50's Diner, in Delray Beach Florida, for a ‘BLAST FROM THE PAST’.

They came from California, Acapulco, New York and the West Coast of Florida.  If you read the comments you will see a UNIQUE time was had by all.

Cries of "wait 'till next year" are being heard just as we heard for many years when the DODGERS repeatedly lost the WORLD SERIES to the Yankees....until 1955 when they finally defeated the Yankees.

For the next one, help us reach 100 attendees, so stay healthy everyone.

The day was great!  Platters or no Platters.

Well, I goofed. I just came from the show at our Social Hall starring ‘THE PLATTERS’.  If I were smarter I would have booked them for our GETOGETHER.  They had our SOCIAL HALL swinging from side to side with all their OLDIES.  However, if I booked them it probably would have been more than $ 27.50 each.

Today was, by far, the most uplifting reunion I have ever attended.  I  am on a high from which I feel I will never come down.

Jack, I can't THANK YOU enough for one of the most wonderful days of my life.  It is certainly different being a guest at a reunion.  You did all the work (and very professionally I might add) and I had all the fun.

Maybe we can do this again at Ellie's next year.

I'm for it.

Mt Florida Vacation

I can't put into words how wonderful it was to see each and every one of you.  You are all so special to me.  I returned to California late yesterday and have not at yet loaded my pictures onto my computer but once I do I will send them all to you.

Neither of the two issues in your email applies to me, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for doing such a super job.  I had a  great time and I am sure everyone else did also.

Even without The Platters we had a great time and you did a fabulous job.  If  they were there, we would not have been able to spend as much time talking with each other.

last friday was absolutely the best!!!

we had the best time.   it was great seeing everyone and the greetings were so warm and friendly. it was like we were back in school -- probably better because there is no homework -- you did a great job!!!

You did a superb job. It was very interesting in many ways. Thoughts I had for 51 years about some were dispelled or improved on that day. My brain was squashed from all that trying to remember. Good job.

Maxine Abrahams Cohen came and borrowed the 197 picture and then stayed when she brought it back. She is a lovely type A lady. Very smart. I will keep in touch with her the best I can.
